Last Sunday (Octorber 17, 1999) , I participated in Tokyo powerlifting contest and I lifted total 630kg!! (SQ 230kg, BP 170kg, DL 230kg) This is my best record. Next contest I plan to participate will held in next spring. I will do regular workout menu through autumn and winter, get more muscle and power, and prepare for next contest.
Last Sunday (September 26, 1999) , I participated in national JITSUGYOUDAN (association for powerlifters who are also businessmen) powerlifting contest. This is no-gear contest in which we can not use any gears except for belt. I lifted total 600kg!! (SQ 215kg, BP 155kg, DL 230kg) This is my best record for no-gear contest. I estimate I can lift about 660kg in full-gear contest. Next contest I will participate is Tokyo powerlifting contest (Octorber 17). I am looking forward to it.

Answer ; I think it is most important to avoid over-training. I advise you to have good workouts, to take good nutrition, and to take plenty of rest for super-recovery. I take only proteins as supplements. There are many kinds of supplements, but I think taking plenty of proteins is enough.
