November, 2021: This is a part of a park in Tama New Town. This century-old bridge was moved from downtown Tokyo at Yotsuya Mituke. There the bridge spanned over the moat to the entrance to the castle where the four emperors had lived until today. When the bridge was renewed, the old bridge was moved here and spanned over a valley of the New Town where ponds were built in place of the moat.

October, 2021: There are plastic boards everywhere in restaurants as protection against the pandemic. This is at the Yatsugatake Club restaurant on the terrace. We don't think plastic boards necessary between family members especially in the open air, but we have to put up with them.

Jogasaki

August, 2021: Sitting on one of the lava rocks which form Jogasaki Seashore Cliff. Mt. Omuro Yama spewed out lava five thousand years ago. Volcanos in Izu Peninsula erupt only once, for decades, and never again. The light house in the background was in the evening sunshine.
