| This is the index of a travel log of our 48 day South Pacific Cruise from Nov. 1, 2006 to Dec. 18, on an American cruise ship "Regent Seven Seas Mariner". More specifically, it is a French ship built in France, with the tricolor at stern with registry in a French South Pacific island, Wallis & Futuna, but operated by an American company "Regent Seven Seas Cruises". When we took a world cruise in 2002, we embarked at Tokyo and sailed westwards to Florida, thus missing the Pacific segments. By taking the Pacific portion of Grand Asia Pacific Voyage (anticlockwise around the Pacific) by the same cruise company, but renamed "Regent", we'll complete the world cruise. We could take a cruise in 2002 when Shig ceased to have any full-time job. This time, Shig has left the full-time job, again. This is a cruise for thanks to Sue who has supported most of 46 years of Shig's full-time work. |
これは米クルーズ船Regent Seven Seas Mariner号による2006年11月1日から12月18日まで48日間の南太平洋クルーズ旅行記の索引である。正確には、この船は仏国で建造され、南太平洋の仏海外県Wallis & Futuna諸島に船籍があり、船尾には三色旗が掲げられているが、米会社Regent Seven Seas Cruisesが営業し運行している。 2002年の世界一周旅行では東京から西行してフロリダまで乗船したので太平洋の部分が欠けていた。今回Regentと改名された同じ会社のGrand Asia Pacific Voyageの太平洋部分に乗船すれば、世界一周クルーズが完成する。太平洋を反時計周りする船が東京に寄港する時に乗船することも考えたが、中国・ベトナム・タイなどで先回の寄港地とかなり重複する。Singaporeで乗船すれば、ほとんど重ならないのでそうした。 2002年には重悳が一度常勤勤務が無くなったので旅に出られたが、今回また常勤が無くなった。常勤46年間のほとんどを支えてくれたスミヱへの感謝の旅だ。 |
